I started photography when I was young. My grandfather let me use his camera at first. I have been an artist my entire life and enjoyed photography while studying in school. My internship for college focused on ski photography as a portrait photographer on the mountain. I am aspiring to be a professional.
Pursuing my passion has been a challenge but the reward has been great! A friend, Justin Fantl, who is a professional photographer, lent me a camera. I had some experience outside ski photography working for Justin, on a couple of magazine shoots. I assisted Justin with grip work and staging for two magazine articles. One shoot was of Dave Hauns’ climbing equipment (Dave is a 14 time Mount Everest climber). I also helped Justin photo shoot at MIT (photographing the aging lab for a magazine article focused on the designing of things for elderly people such as shopping carts, cars and many other things. We photographed a NASA designed space suit that MIT students would wear to simulate aging).
I really enjoy photography. It is a great way for me to be artistic expressing creativity in a way that can be shared. I enjoy sharing my artistic view of the world with others. My work is evolving and progressing.
In this process my photos are moving towards abstraction, and I am very excited to explore this style of artwork in addition to landscapes and portraits. I also photograph private events and families. I hope viewers will enjoy looking at my photos.
